Working together using this wiki

Think of this wiki as a shared online whiteboard. You can share information using this wiki, making your ideas accessible to everyone. Play around with this wiki: Notice how you can add comments to a page, see what people have changed, and edit all the text.

Some ideas to get you started:

!

Idea #1: Create bookmark lists for each library research project. Share the list with teachers involved and ask them to contribute to the list also.

Idea #2: Locate the del.icio.us accounts of prominent thinkers in your field. Add them to your del.icio.us network and see what kinds of sites they are bookmarking.

Your Ideas:

Idea #3: MISD librarians could not only use del.icio.us to share library information, but various social bookmarks on quilting, new recipes, and shopping!

Idea #4: Teachers could create an account on Library Thing to list the books they have read to their class. Students could then go online and write a review for one of the books.

Idea #5: Using Library Thing with the school's book club: When members of the book club recommend books they have read, I post them to our collection on Library Thing. This makes it easy for students to check on books recommended by their friends or to refresh their memory if a book mentioned at the meeting sounded like something they would enjoy.

Idea # 6: You could tag book titles with objectives they teach or reinforce or the book's central theme. You could tag the illustrators medium or artistic style.
